All clients in the NAS 30 June 2022

On 30th June 2022 there were a total of 1184 clients in the NAS. 949 of them have been admitted as clients because the NAS has evaluated that they may have been victims of human trafficking.

 Along with the 949 presumed / identified victims, their 235 minor children have also been admitted into the NAS. These children have not been exploited in human trafficking, but need help due to the situation in which their parent or guardian has found themselves. The NAS does not collect further information about these 235 children. With the exception of graph 12., the following graphs refer to the 949 presumed and identified victims of human trafficking.

The NAS had 1184 clients on 30th June 2022. Of these, 949 were presumed or identified victims of human trafficking and 235 were these clients’ children. Of the 949 clients, 30 were minors on June 30th 2022. However, a total of 89 of the current clients have been admitted into the NAS when they were minors.

60 per cent of all clients are women and girls (565 clients) and 40 per cent men and boys (384 clients).

The most common forms of trafficking are forced labour (391 clients), the different forms of sexual exploitation, including exploitation in prostitution (292)and forced marriage (200). Four persons are clients because they are acting as witnesses in relation to a trafficking crime. The category “other” refers to cases where the form of exploitation has either been unclear or where it represents a form of exploitation so rare that a separate category has not been created for it for statistics collection.

The clients represent 69 different nationalities. 11 clients have no nationality or their nationality is unknown. In this graph only nationalities represented by 5 or more clients are shown to protect clients’ privacy. The top nationalities are Iraq, Somali, Afghanistan, Nigeria and Finland.
