This is how you can get help from the Assistance system for victims of human trafficking

1. CONTACT US.

You can contact the Assistance system by telephone (tel. +358 295 463 177) or e-mail (ihmiskauppa.auttamisjarjestelma@migri.fi) or you can fill in the online contact form.

You do not have to give your name or location when you contact the Assistance system and talk about your situation. And you do not have do anything else just because you contacted the system. Nobody will be informed about you, and your calls and messages to us are kept secret. You can simply call to talk to a friendly person.

2. TALK ABOUT YOUR SITUATION.

A worker from the Assistance system will talk with you and assess whether you may have fallen victim to human trafficking.

You do not have to be sure that you are a victim of human trafficking – it’s always better to contact us and talk about it than to stay alone with your thoughts. We are happy to talk with you.

You can talk to the worker about the sort of help you may get.

3. THE ASSISTANCE SYSTEM WILL ASSESS YOUR SITUATION.

If the Assistance system worker says that you may have fallen victim to human trafficking, you have the right to access services offered to trafficking victims. If the system cannot help you, it can refer you to other services if you want.

EMERGENCIES: If you need help now because you are homeless, you do not have money, your health is poor or you fear for your safety, you can be admitted to the system without delay. That means that the system worker can help you at once.

Please note: You always have the right to say no to the services, and the Assistance system cannot force you to have any services against your will.
